(GCB&T), is proud to announce that the International Factoring Association (IFA), the world’s largest association of commercial finance companies, has appointed GCBC’s Meg Roberson as a new Advisory Board member.
GCBC’s John Whitaker Continues to Lead Oklahoma Based Office
Gulf Coast Business Credit (GCBC)’s John Whitaker recently funded a $1,000,000 working capital facility to an Illinois based manufacturing company. John was able to provide the company with the necessary capital they were seeking at a competitive rate with flexible terms.
Whitaker joined GCBC as a Vice President of Business Development in January 2015 to open a new office in Oklahoma. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting from Southern Nazarene University. Whitaker has over 23 years of experience in a variety of industries including insurance, financial services, product and brand marketing, and capital equipment sales in the healthcare and energy markets.
Whitaker is also a leader in his community. He founded the GoMitchGo Foundation in 2008 and has served as the President for the last 7 years helping raise over $1.4 million for blood and bone cancer research. Whitaker and his family actively assist the OKC and Austin area through the charitable work of GoMitchGo.
When asked what he enjoys most about GCBC, Whitaker replied, “GCBC gave me the opportunity to prove my sales skill set, create new relationships in Oklahoma, and most importantly help businesses through working capital solutions. I am now able to consistently help business owners achieve their goals.”

Outside of GCBC, Whitaker enjoys travelling with his wife of 24 years, Tracy, and their daughter, Meredith. He spends much of his free time devoted to fitness and the outdoors including golf, CrossFit, running, obstacle racing, snowboarding, standup paddleboarding, and of course watching as much college baseball as possible.

Favorite spot to travel: Breckenridge in the winter for snowboarding. Maui any other time....simply the most beautiful place on Earth.
Hobbies: Crossfit, Golf, Snowboarding, Stand-up Paddleboarding, College Baseball, & Fantasy Football
